Interesting symbol issue... Looks impossible

I have this customer that is going to buy PRO|E (I'm from a VAR BTW)and heproduces electric towers, he use AUTOCAD so far.

To develop the towers he uses only 3 diameter of holes (13mm, 15mm and 17mm) so to avoid poluting the drawings he use symbols in place of dimensions:

The 13mm hole has a black circle covering the entire hole;

The 15mm hole has a half circle only with the superior portion black colored;

And the 17mm hole has a half circle only with the inferior portion black colored.

Because of the amount of holes needed to finish a tower, we were trying to automate the placement of the symbols (cosmetic) creating a UDF, but once the position of the half circles needs to be oriented regarding the drawing views it discards inserting it in 3D environment cause the orientation of the symbol in the 3D will be diferent in 2D for sure, inclusive the same part will be in diferent views and the half circles will need to be rotated...

I was wondering if there is a way to automate it in drawing directly, something with PRO/PROGRAM or MAPKEYS to at least semi-automate the process, placing the symbols manually maybe will make theyr time to market be equal or even more than AUTOCAD do now...

I am talking with PTC about it but I've not getting positive statuss so far...

Probably the most straightforward method is to create all of the holes
using UDF's that includes a sketch of the hole representation symbol
that then resides on the annotation layer and is sketched on the primary
insertion face of the hole.

A separate UDF could be created just to create the hole representation
sketch on holes already existing.

BTW, for simplicity reasons, I have seen some parts where the fastener
hole representation was shown only by a cross or X on a surface. A note
schematic similar to the type used for welding was used to describe the
hole details like diameter, c'sink, etc. This is especially used for
rivet holes.

I don't think that the hole table function in Pro-E will create any type
of symbol to identify the hole.

Maybe something can be done with fonts.... either the DOS ASCII
character set or a custom TTF with the symbols you use instead of
UDF's...?!?!?!?
