Is there a way to convert NX geometry to Creo3 with parameters?

Hi,

is there a way to convert a geometry created in NX to Creo3.

But without loosing all paramers, expression which controls the parametric geometry?

Like a plate with parametric dimension x,y with two holes with parametric positions and diameters? And without loosing the names of this parameters?

Is there an external Software which can do this? Or is creo3 powerful enough to do this.

Regards,

you either remodel it from start or you use creo direct editing to change it on the fly as needed.

There are software companies that have products for feature based translation from NX to Creo, although I have never tried any of them and am not sure how well they actually work. These packages are really expensive and you need to have a seat of NX and Creo to use them. One company that you can research is ITI Transcendata and their product is called Proficiency.

Like other posts have mentioned, you can import the "dumb" model and then use certain tools to create the necessary parametric geometry you are looking to control. Both NX and Creo have tools to do this and this is usually and easy way to get things done.

Hope this helps.
