Hello All.
I am trying to check If I using mechanica right. For that, I tested a standerd paddle part made of Polypropylene on a tension machine. I recorded the results - force vs displacment converted them to to true strain. I entered the true stress-strain data into the elasto-plastic material option to define the material.
Then I tried to check if by applying a certain force to the model, the simulation will give a close result. But I couldn't get it right.
For instance, I applied 3200 N on the paddle and got displacement of 9 mm (6%).
The displacement in the simulation only got to 4 mm (2.8%) (and this after i checked the nonlinear option and used large deformation).
I added the model and material.
Does anyone have suggestions?
Thanks,
Assaf
