Move datum feature symbol in one combination state while keeping it fixed in another

Is it possible to move a datum feature symbol in one combination state while not having it move in another combination state? Say you have two combination states, each with features of size that reference datum A. In the first combination state, you have the model oriented in a particular manner to highlight a specific feature of size. Datum feature symbol A is located so as to be visible. Now, in the second combination state, the model has to be rotated 180 degrees to highlight a different feature of size that also references datum A. It's our policy to show all referenced datum feature symbols on the sheet where they are referenced. However, if datum feature symbol A is moved in the second combination state, it is no longer visible in the first combination state. Has anyone else come across this issue? Thanks
