PDM -open previous versions

in PDM link is there a way to open a previous version of a part and drawing?

i have a new part and drawing that is not checked-in, but has been saved a
few times in the workspace. let's say that it is currently 12345.prt.5,
i would like to open and use 12345.prt.3.

I thank you all in advance,

It depends on what version of Windchill you are on. In Intralink there was a concept of workspace frames. This was re-introduced in PDMLink 9.1; it must be enabled through a configuration. This option will allow you to roll back your workspace to the previously saved versions.

Another option is to start a new workspace and then Add to Workspace the
previous iteration (be careful that when you download the older version of
the drawing it pulls along the older version of the part - using the Add to
Workspace function lets you control what it will download, if you Open in
Proengineer you (used to) get the latest and greatest part). With
Windchill 8 I don't think it is possible to have multiple iterations of the
same part in the one workspace.
