Reports unable to insert/paste a jpeg image in the Pro/ENGINEER.

Just as a brief summary ofthe issue is with the Microsoft Office OLE configuration because there are also issues with images displaying (through OLE object creation) properly in Word 2007. Certain file formats, such as .jpeg, .tif, and .gif will not display an image in either Word for Office XP or ProEngineer when they are invoked as a texture or decal in the appearance manager. Those same file formats will still not display properly in Word 2007 (displaying only an icon and the file name and extension), but then do display properly in ProEngineer—but only after they’re applied as a texture or decal and then the ProE session is closed and a brand-new session is opened. File formats that do display properly in Word 2007 are .bmp and .pdf; I believe that’s because Office “knows” the definition of those specific types of OLE objects as evident from their parent environment program being listed in the “object type” list under “create new” within the “insert/object” menu. I think it’s as simple as downloading an OLE object definition from somewhere and updating the office OLE object library somehow.

I have no idea how to do that and I can’t find anything on the Microsoft website to indicate how to do it either. Any suggestions?
