Saved Orientation for annotations in 3D and 2D

Hi

We are going more and more into direction of MBD.

But still we need the 2D Drawing.

On thing we are searching for to improve our design/modelling process is,

how can I apply in 3D modelling a saved orientation to a combination state such that any annotation appears according the saved orientation definition as soon as it is added to the combined state?

So far, we need to select all the annotations from a combination state and apply the saved orientation to them.

In addition, we are looking for settings, which forces creo to take-over the saved orientation if I apply the combination state in a 2D view.

Does anybody have a solution or a hint for these questions?

I fear that you are not in the correct community. Here you are in the community "Creo Elements Direct" that is a software different from Creo Parametric. You should move your post to the community "Creo Parametric" to have a better chance to get an answer.

PTC has two CAD systems:    Creo Parametric    and     Creo Elements Direct.

Which makes it confusing. You are not the first, not far from the millionth mistaking who will win a prize.

More, for Creo Elements Direct:

- The 3D software name is Modeling, and

- The 2D software name is Drafting.

For Creo Parametric, use only this tab:

@Pius  The model orientation in the combination view state matters when you are trying to add the model to a drawing. The model needs to be in a basic front, back, right, left, top, and bottom. If you deviate to any isometric or any angled model view, the annotations will not show in your drawing.

You may also what to check this PTC Community link. There is still a issue with getting the drawing view to automatically update when the combination view model changes.
