Shift+click selection in model/layer trees

Shift+click selection in model/layer trees

Pros:

We've recently upgraded from WF 2 to Creo, with Windchill Intralink 10, and
I'm using a Kensington Expert Mouse trackball with the latest driver.
Suddenly, I can't use Shift+Click to select multiple items in the model tree
or the layer tree; this behavior is exclusive to Creo; I can still use that
method of selection in Windchill, as well as all of my other applications,
which leads me to believe that the problem must be a setting in Creo.
However, I am the only person here at the lab who is having this problem; I
am also the only one who isn't using a standard mouse.

Does anyone know of a solution to this problem? I can still use
Control+Click to select multiple individual items, but after I select one
item, holding the Shift key disables any further selection.

Thanks in advance for any suggestions!

Well, the only response I got to this, other than an automatic OOO message,
resulted in a conversation about the awesomeness of trackballs and Austin,
but no solutions or conclusions. Which leads me to believe that no one who
is on Creo is using a Kensington Expert Mouse trackball or no one who is has
had any problems. I've sent the same question to our administration
consultant and haven't received a response from him yet, either. There are
no special CAD settings in the Trackball Configuration Panel.

I realize this is years after your post, but I am having the same issue. I am also the only one using a Trackball, and the only one with the issue. I can hook up a regular mouse and Shift+Select work fine, but not w/ my Trackball. Today I updated to a new driver, and still no change.

Have you found any solution? This isn't worth giving up my Trackball, but it is worth keeping another mouse around for the extremely rare cases where I need to select 50+ things in the feature tree.
