Spring Ends
All,
When making a spring using helical sweep.....
What methods do you use to continue the ends?
I have a spring that I need to add more to the end - sweep a shape like
a paper clip.
I set my diameter, pitch and length and the result ends the coils per
those values.
The ends of the spring are hard to work off of due to their resultant
plane and has no axis.
When I do screw threads I over lengthen them, then cut after.
On the spring I guess I would do the same?
What's the best method?
Just curious how people approach this.
Thanks,
Wayne
