System colours file

Hi all,

i was wondering if anyone has a system colours file they would like to share. I have been working with the pre-wildfire colour scheme for years now, & fancy a change. It would be great if there were a selection of different schemes to try, is there such a thing.

Regards

John

I have one......would you like to message me an email address?

I found the old classic color scheme in a few help texts and tried them on my laptop. The blue background washed out the yellow dimensions and made them look white or pale.

So I tried one of the alternate system defaults... Dark Background. Comes out pretty nice. And to provide a little special touch, a dark blue hue gradient (65 or less) really pops on the screen.

Remember that the system color interface is a bit touchy when it comes to activating gradients.

Now where do I set the skin colors of the interface?

Classic_Color_Scheme.JPG

Interesting... See if you can find anything about the first two config options for the syscolor.scl file

I just mapped these from the Dark Background settings with a dark blue hue gradient background.

Just copy and paste the list below into a <name>.scl file and open it in options, system colors.

Try switching the USE_PRE_WILDFIRE_ENTITY_COLOR to NO as an option

And I would really like to know valid entries for COLOR_SCHEME

Both of these seem to be hidden options not documented anywhere.

Hi Antonius,

after spending some time messing around with system colours, i came to the conclusion that, if it ain't broke, don't fix it. I have decided to stick with the pre-wildfire scheme i have been using for the last 16 years.

Is that the yellow text, white geometry on a blue background with yellow and red datums?

That switch in the top of the file seems to have set that for me.

USE_PRE_WILDFIRE_ENTITY_COLOR YES

Nice touch even though it is undocumented. It seems to be over writing several of the later settings in the file.

Yes Antonius, they are the colours i am using.

How the H-E-double-hockey-sticks do I change the screen color??? I can't find ANY reference to it, either by surfing the menus or in the worthless "Help" file. The white background is virtually unusable. Thanks.

It's still a bit buggy but you have two options that can get in the way of each other.

Not knowing your version, it is hard to point you in the right direction but in Creo...

System Color (big settings button or Options under the file menu)

\background

and query the Gradient dialog. The gradient option is what tends to over-ride your non-gradient settings.

There are also some (few) system default schemes on the menu at the top of the system color options.
