Sort of. You create a new simplified rep in the upper level assembly and then choose the sub-assembly's already created simplified rep to reuse.

Hi Tom,

many thanks!

I got it.

Is this also possible for style states?

Yes, just slightly different. Create the sub-assembly style state. Then, create a new style state in the upper level assembly. Go to the "By Display" tab, select the sub-assembly from the model tree, then select the style state you want to use.
