WF4- some parts not showing in assy drw

we have an assembly drawing that some of the parts are not showing up in
hidden or no-hidden display mode. They show up when the views are shaded.
There are balloons attached to the parts that are not showing. The
missing parts are all imported geom for purchased parts. They are not
surface models. All of the layers are on.

Any suggestion of what to look at would be appreciated. this is actually
a multi-sheet drawing with all of the parts and subs detailed on different
sheets so we would hate to have to recreate any more than we need to.

You should check for interferences, when there are interference in the assembly PRO|E Drawingdoesn't understand which part should be in front or behind each other so it messes the line styles, when I got this behavior I've tried to change the accuracy but it doesn't work in this case.

Good luck

Greetings Eric.

Sad to say but you are not alone in this anomaly. We are running WF4 M130 and just last week one of our users called me because he had models that would not display in his assembly drw. This drw had two sheets and all the models were displayed as expected on the first sheet but on the 2nd sheet a certain model would not display on any views. This model that would not display was an assembly of import geometry from a step file. I tried everything to get the model to display and I'm positive it wasn't hidden by other model geometry. Finally...I decided to create another view. I recreated the partial view right beside the current view and.....the model displayed as desired in this new view. I selected all the balloons and moved them to the new view. I wanted to send the files to PTC but just haven't had the time to do that yet. I also tried this drw in WF5 m040 and when I opened the drw and went to sheet 2 the views were the same as in WF4 with the component missing from all the views on sht 2.

Regards, Jim

I have run into this problem before with some features on a part not showing
in the drawing. I found out that if I select the view and go into the
properties>View Display>Tangent edges display style>Solid. After that the
features showed up correctly.
