WRL into Pro-E, is there a trick?

Hi everyone,

We have a FEA model that can export to STL or WRL. When we import this into Pro-E, the model is very faceted and not solid (watertight). Is there a way to bring this in clean without facets?

Randy,

STL = triangulated surface model
WRL (aka VRML) = polygon surface model with mapped textures

My guess would be that STL has a larger chance of being solid because
it is used for stereo lithography.
Having no facets is more likely to occur in WRL, because is mainly used
for visualisation.

What are you trying to achieve?

Best regards,
Patrick Asselman
