extrude up to multiple surfaces

Is there a way to extrude a feature up to a surface created by two planes? I created a surface which looks like a V in the top plane, and then tried to extrude up to this surface, but it will only extrude up to one of the planes. I would like to complete the extrude using only 1 extrude, not come back and trim or do aother extruded cut. See attached file for what I was able to do. Thanks

You can try this:

When defining side, select the surface as quilt (Set Quilt in smart filter).

Thanks, that is exactly what I wanted.

Glad to help you Steve.

Does the "Quilt" have to be a surface or could it be existing solid geometry?
