how to open .sdexp file

Hi

The customer has given me a .sdexp file. How do I open it? Should installing Creo Direct Work Manager in my laptop to open it can work? 

Or after opening the .sdexp file in customer's machine, can I ask him to save as another format whereby today's Creo Parametric or Creo Direct can read?

Currently .sdexp file cannot be read by Creo Parametric or Creo Direct, only can read by Creo Elements/Direct Modeling

Thanks, I realized this.

Somehow I was thinking that Creo Elements and Creo Direct are same. 

After the customer told that I need Model Manager, I started exploring and realized this solution.
