prehighlighting of imported geometry

Here is my mapkey that toggles it on and off.

Greetings all - thanks for the many responses, however, what I did not
clarify is: regardless the use a mapkey to turn off/on preselect
highlighting is irrelevant to this issue. The issue being: at some point in
time the preselect has to be turned on in order to activate any of the
geometry. When you have a large imported model in an asm, the model will
always highlight when the cursor cruises over it... If preselect is turned
off, then it is a hit or miss deal selecting/activating geometry, which is
very cumbersome/frustrating. My question earlier was meant to ask if
anybody has created a way to single out certain geometry so that it does not
highlight, yet be able to use its geometry.

We turned off preselect highlighting on Day 2 with Wildfire (mostly due
to slow redraw when working with large, complex Merge features), and
still find that QS works just fine for us.
