"snap" lockout on component placement???

I can't seem to locate the option/control for setting the "snap" for manually moving a component with an offset constraint. Help? I'm not sure that's what it's called, "snap", but basically when I assemble a new component with an offset constraint, orwhen redefining it, I can click on the white control dot and drag the component with my mouse, changing the offset dimension. My system currently "snaps" to even number offsets, since it's a metric assembly, it snaps to whole numbers of mm...1, 2, 3... ect... This was fine at my last work assignment, but now I'm working on much, muchsmaller parts and I would like to reduce this.

thanks in advance...

Paul.
