[routed] - MFG flatten jack screws on connector components

We have a situation where on the same level as the cable, one must add
special screws to replace existing connector screws. the problem is that
when flattening one must add a coordinate system to the screws in order to
allow them to be on the final flattened part. Is there any other way?

regards,

Alfonso

Ok so we ran into this one again today and we followed this:

Sequence of Events:

1. Create a 3-D cable in PRO/CABLE.

2. Go to 3-D cable and add backshells (routing the cable through a Csys on
the backshell, of course), then "Attach to Harness".

3. Flatten that cable (create the .mfg file).

That seems to work but we must create multiple coordinate systems on the
screws to make it work.

1) two jack screws per connector

2) "stuff" can only be added if the cable routes some how through a
location that references that "stuff" (location on coordinate system)

3) locations must be separate from each-other (cannot use the same
coordinate system

4) you end up with a screw that has two offset coordinate systems so that
two locations may be created of the same part number screw in the harness
assembly.

5) yes it would be easier if the screw was assembled to the connector
rather than in the main harness assembly but then you don't get the correct
BOM as purchased/build/(you name it).

Is there any other alternative??

Thanks

Alfonso
