Does anyone know if PTC changed how maintenance is handled through VARs in the last 2 years?
We used to always get quotes direct from PTC. Now (after our multi-year contract expired) we are dealing with a VAR instead. Costs are higher to say the least and the VAR isn't offering any specific services above and beyond the PTC maintenance support.
Yes, starting in January 2010 channel maintenance was moved to the VARs. If you have questions or concerns you can contact your VAR and/or PTC Channel Development Business Manager, CDBM.
