Entering Edit Mode for Creo Schematics

I am using Creo Schematics Release 7.0 and Datecode7.0.0.0

I am trying to create a arc for a library component. When I select on the arc tool I get the following error at the message window "Operation only valid in Edit Mode". I have gone to the basic tutorial document and it states "In the graphics window, double-click on the bottom left corner of the rectangle. The line enters edit mode.". I have done this but I still cannot use the arc tool. I am wondering if I could get direction on were specifically I double click or how to enter edit mode.
