Table wrapping in PE 5.4?

Has anyone seen a wrapping issue in tables in 5.4? We're upgrading a customer from 5.3 and we're getting wrapping in tables in 5.4. We've tried a couple build of 5.4 and get the same result.


So far, we can't find a good reason for the wrapping in FOSI. Anyone else seeing anything like this in 5.4?

In my experience, wrapping in tables is usually a desirable result.
Can you give more details on what result you're seeing and what you
expected, instead?

We're seeing things like percentages (99.1%, 99.5%) wrap when they did not in 5.3.


So we're getting this



99.5
%

95.5
%


The same with col headers. By our estimates, everything in the table is the same content-wise so we cannot figure the wrapping.

Did anything change with the fonts on the system? Sounds like the
character widths have changed or possibly changes in the composition
engine. Based upon the example it looks like you have small amounts
of data and tight cells, so that was why I'm suggesting fonts as a possiblity.

I don't think fonts are the problem. We're using standard Arial fonts.

Are the % symbols from your keyboard or are they character entities? You could try replacing one with the other to see if it makes a difference. I don't know what it would mean if it did make a difference, other than providing a band-aid, but it might point to something else that could be changed.

So no OS changes then? Fonts would be the same but the internals (hints,
etc) could change.

FYI, PTC gave me an answer on this. It seems hyphenation rules have changed in 5.4. The fix was to set hyphenation to "No" in the right contexts.
