Hello group,
I'm trying to create a new IFX catalog, so I will ask several questions this days 🙂
at the first time, please let me wish you an happy new year guys.
and here is my first question:
I could add a custom screw, and it works with issues (this is for a next topic). when I save my assembly, close the CREO session (I use CREO4), and re open the assembly in a new CREO session, my screw is missing.
I try several things in the IFX_CATALOGS, like
1)
#screws
vis_rabourdin
2)
#screws
vis_rabourdin
1021_5_08<vis_rabourdin>
1021_5_10<vis_rabourdin>
1021_5_12<vis_rabourdin>
1021_5_14<vis_rabourdin>
or
3)
#screws
vis_rabourdin
1021_5_08
1021_5_10
1021_5_12
1021_5_14
without success.
please note that is a family table I use.
does someone can help me to understand why the component cannot be retrieve alone?
thanks in advance,
Ron

Hi Ronan,
I think you have your generic part copied to the ifx_fastener_data folder. This will not work.
Please move all your fastener to Windchill (if available) or move them to a archive folder.
Then set a Creo option search_path to this folder.
I recommend to update the index in this folder
Then the files can be found by IFX and of course by Creo if you reopen the assembly.
Regards,
Oli
