Randy, Start by exploring the Helical Sweep. Insert/Helical Sweep/Thin Protrusion was used to create the following bottom part. This sort of thing is quite simple. Much more complicated things are easily possible, but, as in the top example, usually use the Variable Section Sweep. Good luck! David
