Not trying to start a war... but I've been told that it is actually not possible to create true, class A surfaces in Creo. Something about the kernel and how it creates geometry. Of course, I could definitely be wrong!
Tom,
You are correct and incorrect...with a little twist. It's not that Creo cannot create really decent surfaces even with G2 continuity on boundaries. The real issue lies with Creo's (Style feature included) lack of precision control and surface manipulation, bi-directional boundary and surface matching, controllable local/region node manipulation, G1-G3 continuity control and numerical interrogation and verification precision that true Class A body design demands.
Let's put it this way. You could painstakingly design a car in Creo and it would look good. But you would never get past the design review because of surface quality due to the stringent requirements for "shiny painted things that will be in the sun". Not to mention the Holy Grail, mirroring the surfaces over the centerline. For the other 99% of "shiny things" that require surface tools, Creo is fine.
All the Best....

Mark,
Here is a Wiki that describes it pretty well. Class A surfaces - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
As I stated to Tom, it's not that Creo (Style) can't do some really good stuff. The fact is Body surface design is still developed from the full size clay model, which implies scan data, which implies the surfaces need to "tag" to the scan. Nothing in Creo has the ability to do this work easily or with the control required.
Scanners are getting better and the "noise" generated is getting less and less. But, I know of no car company 1. Using PTC products to do Class A work, and 2. relying on nothing but native surfaces from a Class A software (I.E. no stamping die is created directly from scan).
Al the best,
Dean
no chance you would be uploading the part file right?
Hello Rohit Rajan. When I finish this model I'll upload an IGES, STEP and NEUTRAL file in www.grabcad.com. I don't have plans to share this PRT file yet...
Marcio,
Mirror that quilt over the center and apply Zebra stripes to both. Post the images.
Thanks...
could you please upload this blue print.
