Degree symbol in the hole chart

I am creating our ownhole chartfile. Is it possible to get the degree symbol shown or will I have to use DEG?

Thank yous go to Ron. He gave me the hint.

I knew the code was ALT+0176 so I typed the letters ALT then the plus sign then 0176. I never though actually pressing the ALT key then 0176 would put the symbolin Notepad.

When I created the degree symbol in a note the ASCII codes saved were
<soh>$<stx>



I wonder if you could enter these codes through the keyboard:

<ctrl>A $ <ctrl>B



I tested this in a note and if you enter <ctrl>A $ you get a degree
symbol. See if that works.

Or enter it (copy / paste it from a pro-e note) like this: {0:$[1]}

I could not get it to work with your suggestions. I also tried <ctrl-a>$<ctrl-b> In other examples they had the 'a' and 'b' inside the brackets.

you should just hit cntrl & a (hold control press a) type your letters or
characters then cntrl & b to end it

x = a depth symbol, n = diameter, the other letters give you various gd&t
symbols, I've never tried the numbers and other characters, but it should
work

I thought I tried <ctrl-a>$<ctrl-b> before and it didn't work. Maybe I typed a wrong character. Walt sent what he has in his .hol file and I tried it again and this time it worked. He also said there is a document that PTC has listing all the symbols. Here they are. TPI 104111.

The only thing is the TPI was last updated Oct 2000 but it should still be good.
