Inserting entities from AutoCad into Sketcher mode

Hi All,

Add to the woes of not highlighting the 'open' section, Pro/E also can be
fustrating when we bring in Sketched entities from, Say, AutoCAD into Pro/E
sketcher environment. How do I insert the sketch exactly where I want it in
the sketcher ? For example, I have a centerline that I want to align with
one of the planes in the sketcher mode. Can I do it directly first time When
I bring in the sketched entities from insert--> data from file? Right now
I need to place it somewhere in sketcher environment and then constrain the
sketch which can be a pain at times.

I believe many of us who work with Vendors get their dwgs from AutoCAD
which we then model into Pro/E. It would be nice if any of you if could
give some guidelines on the best ways to handle inserted sketched entities.
I am always confounded with whole screen becoming a spaghetti of White/gray
dimensions and constraints that takes eons to sort out (even after I bring
in the entities piece by piece) :-).

Thanks all in advance,
Jaya
