I'm guessing that Marty is doing software QC for PTC.
Why do I say so?
Because of the number of times a requester/menu pops up a long distance
across the screen from where the pointer was when I clicked the mouse
button. Mr. Feldman could have kept up with most of it, but I'm adon't like
to. I know that this occurs sometimes to prevent blocking the next pick,
although...
The best example today is Edit/References/Replace Ref.
The Edit menu is upper left.
The References selection is mid to lower left.
The menu that appears is in the Upper Right, but the question it stops to
ask is in the screen lower left.
The box to click Yes/No is at the lower right.
All corners covered.
All that's missing is a decent pop-under modal requester (1 pixel X 1 pixel,
please ) and it would be complete.
A chameleon could not watch all this at the same time, so I guess that the
software QC guys are more flexible than them - obviously more flexible than
me.
I know, I know - create a mapkey to skip the whole thing. Still, it's not a
good UI practice.
