Measuring in WF-2

Can anyone tell me how to measure the X,Y, and Z delta distances in WF-2?

Whenever I attempt to measure a distance, the result is always skewed on an angle. I try projecting the result onto a plane, but sometimes the measurement line is along a compound angle.

In WF2 (Analysis-Measure-Distance), select a coord system as your
Projection Reference (3rd drop down box under Definition). Your
distance measurements will then be relative to the X, Y and Z planes of
that coord system.
