I have tried to repair these but IDD is simply not intuative enough for me to get it to work.

This doesn't mean someone cannot get it to work, but this way over my ability.

These failing surfaces are simply to complex to get a good resolution even with moderate efforts.

yeah what he said. I looked at it again, and you can sort of guess where to put the balls back in (probably get it within 0.001"), but it's not a few minutes worth of work.
