ProE vs SolidEdge

Believe it or not, some people from our headoffice think it could be a
wise idea to migrate our company to SolidEdge (the main CAD system from
a sister company).

So I need some amo to shoot against this idea.

What I'm mainly interested in is:
- Functionality comparison between Pro/E and SolidEdge
- Productivity comparison between Pro/E and SolidEdge
- options to import SolidEdge data into ProE
- options to import ProE data into SolidEdge

TIA,

Olaf Corten

The grass is always greener on the other side of the fence so to speek. I tried another CAD program that starts with "solid" and found that Pro/E was much better...I got so sick of the other software how it crashed all the time and could not do good intent surfaces etc. and the list goes on and on. Pro/E has much better equation driven models and relations are easier to edit and evaluate. I encourage you to really try it out before you get rid of Pro/E, Pro is a very good program. There are some areas where Pro/E needs to catch up on useful tools and automation utilities but other then that Pro/E is better IMHO.
