Tieing a symbol to a table on a format

I'm wondering if you can tie a symbol to atable on a format. My example is that I have a triangle symbol in a table square, and sometimes I need to make the height of the table increase and I want the triangle symbols to move with the tables.

Thank you,

That would be nice.

Our drawing symbols (hexagons, flags, etc.) are placed in a
"floating" manner with respect to the drawing table cell (e.g. they look
like they're in the table itself) that they should be inserted in. When
the table updates (rows reordered, rows added, rows removed, etc.)
those drawing symbols often have to be repositioned.

I'm not aware of a method that will allow drawing symbols to be placed
directly in the table itself via a parametric call (e.g. &SOME_SYMBOL)
or otherwise "relate" drawing symbols to drawing tables like what can be
done with draft entities and drawing views. I'm pretty sure that drawing
tables can't be included in draft groups.

Maybe someone else has a rabbit to pull ...

From the Pro/E r20 manual :

Adding Drawing Symbols

You can include a drawing symbol in a note if its instance is present
in the drawing. To include a symbol, use the following format:

&sym(<symbolname>)

Type the symbol filename without an extension. For example, if a
drawing contains an instance of the symbol "bevel," to include the
symbol in a note, type [&sym(bevel)].

Note: Drawing symbols cannot be called out in dimensions.

When you include an instance of a generic symbol, after you type
the symbol name, select groups that compose the instance (this is
similar to creating instances of a generic symbol). For more
information on symbols, see the chapter Symbols.

When you edit a note using the Full Note or Text Line commands,
the system represents the symbol in the following format:

n:&sym(sym_path)

where "n" is the number of the text element, and "sym_path" is the
name or pathname of the symbol.

Here is the summary for what I was asking to do.

Since I want variable text in the symbol, I needed to create a symbol
that had variable text. Then to add a symbol in a table square you type
in text in the format of &sym(symbol_name).

Thank you to all that helped.
