model a rectangular to round transition

I thought I could model a transition with a straight blend. It's complaining about having unequal number of segments in the two sketches. ?????

Thanks, I can now get a transition, but it's not correct.

A sheet metal transition has 4 triangular flat sides with triangular folds in between to conform to the circle. I don't need to show all the folds, but I do want the edges hi-lited in red on the attached image.

Yes. This is one of the constrains of this feature.
The blend needs to have sections comprised of the same number of segments.
So, if you have a circle and a square for example. You "divide" the circle
in 4 segments to have the same number of segments as the square.
It is also important the starting point. (RMC "Start Point"), if not
chosen right the blend is twisted.
You can divide a sketched feature with "Divide an entity at the point of
selection"

That is not quite how the resulting surface looks like - it does not have these edges, but smooth transitions.

To get something like that, You have to use

- either true surfaces and create the solid from those

- or add very small radii to the rectangle corners and split the circle into 8 arcs of different lengths.

If you are blinding a circle to a square the circle needs to be split into
four arcs. The shape will be blended from the vertices of the square to
the vertices on the circle. I would recommend that you experiment with
this to see how this effects your blend by changing the included angle of
the arc segments, and toy with the other blend options to see how this
feature works.

It looks like you have lots of help on how to create it, but here is the
link to how sheet metal people will want it created. If you plan to have
this be a true sheet metal part I would suggest you create it in
pro/sheetmetal and make sure it will flatten for you so you can send it out
to a vendor with confidence.
