Answer: Not an option to automatically copy geometry any time an external reference is made. However, using an advanced assembly technique you can accomplish this. Answer: No, Unite should be used in all cases.

Answer: Yes, it is best to create the natively in a single tool (Creo Parametric/ISDX). It is difficult to import class A surfaces and get good quality.

Answer: Yes, with SolidWorks and CATIA for United collaboration. Importing any native file format is also in all current packages. Import Data Doctor is in every license we sell currently.
