Solid works IGS to Pro E wildfire 4

Im new to 3d drawings, I have a solidworks IGS file which I can open in wildfire 4 but, when I try to then change to a DWG it wont let me. Is this because of dimensions not on the IGS file?

I appreciate any help on this matter

Sean,

It won't let you reference the IGES file? You should be able and probably need to save it as a ProE format before using as a referenced part model in a drawing.

You should be able to use it for drawing after saving as a .prt file ash make drawing dimensions as reference dimensions.

Whomever you got the IGES from can try a Save as ProE file from within SolidWorks to get a ProE formatted dumb solid (Feature Tree will not come accross however).
