Connect 2 faces to create a solid object

Hi community people,

I am VERY unfamiliar with 3D drawing tools, so please bear with me...

I am trying to create an object, which "almost" is a 2-D drawing, which must be pulled 30mm.

But the Top/Bottom surfaces are a little bit different.

I have tried to define 2 surfaces "Top"/"Bottom", but I do not know how to combine these and add the missing surfaces.

I have tried to use "Gather Faces" without success

Am I doing it totally wrong?

Best regards

Martin

PS: I am using "CREO Elements Direct".

I actually figured it out myself (after watching 50+ videos).

I created a parallel copy of the workspace, and used Loft...

How did you do that with the date?

Great, congratulation

Hello Martin,

can propose 2 ways.

Move Bottom 30mm away from Top.

Proposal 1

Make w1 nonvisible and follow the description in the picture for every pair of conture elements.

At the end if everything is closed you can gather Top with "Gather Faces" to Bottom.

If you dit all wel the surface part will become a solid part.

But this all is a lot of work.

Proposal 2

Pic-1 create new workplanes on Top and Bottom and project real geometry.

Pic-2 create a workplaneset S1 and move the workplanes what you have just created into it.

Loft-1.jpg

Make Top and Bottom invisible = uncheck in Structure Browser..

Now create a Match Line. You need only one but dont foget to terminate correctly.

Loft-2.jpg

Now you can create a loft. See picture.

Good look and best regards
