Is there a way to embed a font in an *mi file created by Annotation? I'm afraid that my customer can't display a drawing correctly if he has not that font in his Windows computer.
Related question: is it possible to do the same (embed fonts) when exporting to DWG or PDF file format?
I'm using Modeling 20.5 on Windows 10
I do not know if it is possible to do it directly on Annotation, but you can do it through Drafting.
On Annotation, save the drawing as mi. Load this file on Drafting. Then execute on the command line:
STORE ALL ADD_FONTS DEL_OLD "filename.mi"
I do not know if it is possible with DWG. Drafting could maybe do it only if DWG has the fonctionality of embedding fonts.
As for PDF, since Annotation and Drafting convert text in geometry in the PDF, the text will be readable on a pc without the font.
However, with version 20.7, text can be selectable in the PDF. I cannot tell if the selected text is usable.
I understand, but I'm working with Annotation, and I would like to do the whole process inside Modeling. Even if I open and save the template in Drafting with fonts, the problem arises again when I save the mi file from annotation to the disk or to the PDM.
