Hello ,
I have a file wihout extension, but according to my researches it is ME10 file with (.mi) extension. Firstly I tried to open it by changing name and extension. As a result I wrote (.mi) and opened it on "Creo Elements/Direct Modelling Express 8.0". So it is succesfull method to open 2d ME10 file.
Also I have an another file that it is without extension too. But this file is not working with (.mi) extension on "Creo Elements/Direct Modelling Express 8.0". The reason of this problem that probably this file was created by ME30. It is 3d model. I tried a lot of extension to open it on the program but failed.
I cannot drop this file here because of company's policies.
Years ago, files as these files without extension created on HP-UX OS. By years by as technology changes, ME30 became Creo Elements/Direct Modelling. I made a deep research in internet and found this kind of knowledges.
Can anybody help me to open this "ME30 file" ? Thanks for reading my text. Regards...

A far as I remember I could load ME30 file on Modeling only if I added the extension ".xmit" to the file.
I don't not if it works with Modeling Express (I have no ME30 file at hand).

Thank you very much. I cannot find Modeling program, I guess it is not being served anymore.
Yes Modeling is available:

Did you test your ME30 file with the extension ".xmit" on Modeling Express? Is it working?
Yes , I have tried. I had to communicate with company for programming. Modeling Express is not appropriate to open "xmit" files. But without Express , I mean Creo Elements/Direct Modelling program is useful.
Thanks for everything 🙂 Have a nice day.
