One of the great attributes of Solid Modeling is being able to do virtual analysis. A common analysis function is interference checking. Most users know how to run a simple interference check of the assembled components. However great this tool is, interference checks have limitations. In most cases engineers are checking interference in a static, constrained assembly. What if engineers need to know if you can assemble a part without interferences? Are you able to check clearances to avoid interference from tolerances? In this presentation, the presenter will share the principles of performing interference and clearance checking over a range of motion which includes how to use PTC Creo Parametric Assembly, Mechanisms and PTC Creo View.
