The logistics sector is one of the top sectors among early movers in IoT technology adoption. The challenges of logistic operations and management can mostly be overcome by the use of IoT technologies. In this session, the presenter first gave an overview of two specific logistics sector operations and identified their unique challenges. Then, the presenter discuss the state of IoT hardware and software platform capabilities - usability, scalability, repeatability, and limitations. Finally, the presenter discuss commercial solutions developed for the real world cases: CNG distribution (CNGTrack) and AdBlue Additive distribution (LogiTrack), and the transformation of conventional logistics operations by IoT.
