Raytheon has run PTC Creo 2 (Pro/e) on everything from individual workstations, to engineering laptops, to blade workstations with RGS, and now on Virtual Machines with discrete and distributed Hardware Accelerated Graphics. For the past decade, Raytheon has benchmarked new engineering application versions and hardware to get optimum bang for our workstation buck. Raytheon has just completed transition from Wildfire 4 to PTC Creo 2, and this presentation will show the relative benchmark performance levels on each type of computing resource, along with a discussion of the related advantages of each.
