Hello,

Last week (on 18JUN2025) I enrolled in the Self-Guided class “Creo: Model Optimization Using Behavioral Modeling Extension”.  After enrollment, I initially opened the class to  learn how to get things set up, but did not actually start the class.  Now today (23JUN2025) I see that the system thinks that I have completed the course.  From my PTC Learning account site, it appears the only option I have available is to take the class survey.  My question is, how can I get back to a place where I can actually take the course (incl. using the Virtual Machine (VM) and the associated lesson exercises).?

In general for future knowledge, do the Self-Guided courses need to be taken at one sitting (at the time of setting up the VM)?  What is best practice for pausing the training course so to take it, say, a couple hours a day over a couple days?

Thank you for your help!

Brian

Hi Brian,

We have unenrolled you from the Creo: Model Optimization using Behavioral Modeling Extension Self-Guided class that you started last week. You can go ahead and start the class again at your convenience. For future reference, you can retake classes as many times as you like, as long as you are outside of the original 3-hour VM window. I was able to test starting another class by navigating to this link: Find a Class | PTC Learning Connector – this should take you directly to the class page.

Our VMs, once provisioned (started by you) expire after 3 1/2 hours. There is no way to pause them and restart them at a later time. So it's ideal for you to take the class in one sitting (just like any of our instructor-led courses). As mentioned above, however, if you're not able to take the course in one sitting you can always just retake it again and pick up where you left off. Hope this helps.

Regards,

Matt
