Hey, PTC. Have you ever watched a user who has been through PTC University try to use CREO? You'd find it enlightening...and very concerning. Your user interface is as complex today as it was in Pro/E 2000 and is not intuitive. If a competent engineer with decades of experience in solid modeling can't sit down and figure out how to create a feature, your interface is too complex. If you watched me, or any other competent SolidWorks user, try to use CREO (after completing PTC University training), you'd learn a tremendous amount that you could put toward a better user interface. You'd see us struggle to know what to do while CREO holds us captive creating a feature with no indication of where in the interface to provide information that we know CREO is waiting for, for instance. You'd learn that the way you allow feature creation (a plane, for instance) is not intuitive and doesn't allow simple but powerful on-the-fly definition. Please contact me, or any other new CREO user with thousands of hours of solid modeling experience in other software, if you ever hold a focus group aimed at improving your decades old, and broken, user interface. We'd like nothing more than to help you create better software.
