Hello all,
I want to learn complex type of modeling For eg. Creating a model from imported feature id data which contains no reference and the part is of forging containing complex shape.
Which is best source of training to learn right method of modeling of such complex part. Thanks in advance for your help.
Hello Harsh
Sound to me close to Reverese Engineering. you can try developed by PTC REX module, but it is hard to play with it. Contrary, Geomagic Design X should done the job right and fast(if the 3D model is scanned cloud geometry).
If the model is closed solid, or consists of parametric surfaces with complex shape, then some surfacing skill are necessary. Such models usually are recreated with ISDX which allow easy curves creation, or by sketching the projection edges and intersecting them to obtain 3D curves network(long and fatiguing job).
There is no tool in Creo or Pro/E to automatically recognize the geometry and recreate it withing existing features.
The only 'training' for this type of modeling is experience. You need to play a lot with the various modules and commands of Creo to see which work best for you and your application. Start with smaller simple imports and work up to thye comples ones.
