We want to set up a backup that will allow to store the last seven days of the repositories.
We would write a backup script for this which executes the omssave function overnight. Then another script which ensures that the last seven days are secured, in which we copy the results of the omssave function.
Later, a weeks or monthly backup should be added.
Is there a kind of best practice or other solutions for this?
Hello,
In Integrity Modeler 9.0 you will be able to use the Model Manager component to schedule repository/database tasks (like backup) on a one-off or recurring basis. This will help you automate the creation of backups at specific times.

Patrick
We have a two part solution
1) Do the OMSAVE before our IT Supplier does the "system" backup
2) Our IT supplier does the System backups
I think what I'm saying is you need to seriously consider having a proper backup system for your Server, not just copying the SAV files
PS Patrick Ollerton has also told us that this is changing in PTC IM 9 - but you should still have proper system backups
