Customize ID field

Dear Team,

I had existing requirement and specification document, these document contains the requirement and specification Id's like "SSR-1.1" or "TSR-1.2". I need to trace the documents according to existing Id's not as per PTC ID. How I will use my Id's in PTC for tracing? As PTC has its own ID field which was non editable?

Hello Amol,

From what I have seen, most organizations migrating data from a previous system into Integrity would create a new field to hold the values of those legacy requirement IDs and have them populated by scripts when importing the data into Integrity.
