Webcast Q&A
Question from Timothy: Is there a way to have the find numbers always default display in increasing numerical order?
Answer: Yes, just sort on the find number column.
Question from Timothy: To expand further on the original question: The Find Number column sorting in the Structure view tab does not seem to retain when creating BOM reports and cannot be sorted within the resulting report. Is there a setting that allows the display to always sort the find number order by default, automatically, so one does not have to click on the column heading every time to sort? This ability would help greatly in managing large BOMs where Find Numbers are heavily utilized.
Answer: It depends on the sorting capability of the specific reporting tool. Query builder can do it as well as Jasper.
Webcast Q&A
Question from Brenda: The new part created was added as Rev A. Why did it pick A? Do we have access to determine the revision when we create it?
Answer: You have access to determine the revision during the "Revise" step in the change task. At that time you can set it to whatever revision is appropriate.
