Anyone using WGM for AutoCAD?

Just curious about WVS with regard to AutoCAD files. I did not see an
Object Adapter for AutoCAD. I know PView can read AutoCAD so does it not
convert them? Are overlays possible then?

Antonio,

We have used WGM for AutoCAD for many years, just now getting our ProE data in PDMLink. We use ProductView Client and Standard for most users to dispaly the drawings to save money on Autocad licenses.

Send lawyers, guns, and money...the sh!t has hit the fan!

Hello Bill,

Have you used CAD Worker to generate the viewables for your AutoCAd files? What format?

Thanks

Jogi

Joginder,

We do use the CAD Worker to publish, and we have it set to ProE.

Jogi,

You can use third party adapter to generate AutoCAD viewables & attach the
viewable as a secondary content to the EPMDocument or WTPart accordingly.

Autocad files are viewable with Creo View (ProductView's new name), but there are no thumbnails in Windchill. Thumbnails would be nice.
