Creo will load files in a specific order when loading an assembly into seesion.
1) From another loaded in-session copy fo the component
2) from your local workspace
3) from Windchill commonspace
If you have loaded components into your working session and placed them in an assembly, if you add another copy of the component to your assembly, it will pull the copy from in session memory.
It is very important to learn and understand the rules that govern part file loading.
This also applies to loading an as-saved vs a load-latest assembly.
If switching between multiple assemblies, it may be beneficial to erase from memory between assembly models.
