Assign drop down choice to workflow instance variable

Since the Activity tab of an assigned task allows the use of HTML, we would like to know if there is a way to capture the choice made in a drop down selection, that was coded in the Activity tab of a workflow template, and assign it to a pre-defined instance variable? So if we have: USER1 USER2 in a drop down selection and an instance variable called chosenUser is defined in the Variables tab and then someone chooses USER2, we we would like to populate chosenUser with USER2 We are using WC 8.0 M050

hi Martin. at first sight - you can create your own customized activity template for the workflow. This is descripted in Customization Guide. In WC8 there are already finished tasks - UserTask1..7. In that task you can show you variables (simple <select> html tag) and use your own processor to hold it's value.
