Hi guys:
Looking for a way to save the Batch plot lists that are created in PDMLink so we can reuse them latter for work orders. Basically our production staff would like to be able to take thier drawing lists from workorders and be able to reuse and update them at a latter date. This would apparently save them allot of time no having to do searches for all the drawings they need. I thought maybe I could do something buy saving the product structure in Product view standard but it becomes usless the second you close Product view and I can't find anyway to edit/update the file afterwards.
Any ideas would be appreciated.
Thanks.
Logan,
Batch Plotwill be an option with Windchill 10, but Fishbowl Solutions also has solutions to address this and much morein 8.0, 9.X and 10. Feel free to check out our website for more information

I could be wrong, but I think there are several use cases being discussed in this trail...getting PDF's, plotting drawings, getting native CAD files.
If you want PDF's associated to an EPM or CAD Doc that's one thing.
If you want to plot drawingsthen you have to consider all the printers, drivers, pen plotter etc.
If you want to get Native Pro/E files then you have to worry about relationships, renames and more...all of which the WGM really should be used to resolve.
If you want to pick a top level assembly and getting all associated drawings might get you many more drawings than you want...tooling, fixturing, etc.
And there are obvisously many approaches you can take to solve any of these...some thing to consider would be how robust do you need the code? what abouterror handling? user interface? what ifthe "job"fails? ...etc.
